Who we are:
The Design Review Committee (hereafter referred to as the DRC)
is made up of three to five homeowners from within Kensington
Estates Home Owner Association (hereafter referred to as KEHOA),
on a volunteer basis, approved by the board of directors. One
to two members will be appointed to serve a two year term and
all remaining members will serve for one year. A minimum of
three members must be appointed to keep the committee active.
If the DRC is not active all roles and responsibilities are
delegated to the KEHOA Board of Directors.
What we do:
Based upon the recently approved rules and regulations, we specifically
define the community-wide standard within KEHOA. Additionally,
we review requests to change, modify, or enhance the exterior
to homes, landscaping, outbuildings and structures. We vote
on the before mentioned, and respond to requests for such.
Approval or denial is by a majority vote. The DRC intends to
be fair, objective and consistent in the design review process.
We will act impartially to all members and remain committed
to achieving a balance between the association and individual
goals.
Application process:
Applications can be submitted to any DRC member in person. Both
the homeowner and DRC member will sign the application for
submittal and receipt. An optional copy of the submitted application
will be available upon request. The DRC will respond to all
properly submitted applications within 30 days. The committee
will meet twice a month, or on an as needed basis to review
requests. Each application will be approved, disapproved, conditionally
approved with a reapplication, or deferred pending submission
of more information. Since each residence is different in dimension,
shape, and lay of land; the DRC will review applications on
a case by case basis.
